H.E. Bin Touq holds meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development of Montenegro

H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Milun Zogović, Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development of Montenegro. It explored prospects for strengthening economic collaboration and expanding partnerships in priority sectors, including transport, logistics services, renewable energy, communications and information technology. The discussions aim to support the sustainable growth of both economies and enhance their competitiveness in Europe and the Middle East.

H.E. Bin Touq highlighted that the relations between the UAE and Montenegro have witnessed remarkable growth in recent years across multiple sectors, driven by the shared willing of both countries’ leaderships to achieve their goals, by enhancing collaboration in economic and developmental fields.

H.E. said: “Guided by the wise leadership's forward-looking vision, the UAE has prioritised the development of world-class infrastructure that today ranks among the most advanced and reliable regionally and globally. These include modern transport networks, state-of-the-art ports and airports, and specialised economic zones. These achievements unlock broader avenues for future partnerships with Montenegro across sectors of mutual interest, including tourism, services, the new economy, emerging technologies and renewable energy.”

H.E. Bin Touq explained that tourism represents a key pillar of cooperation with Montenegro. Both countries enjoy world-class tourism assets that position them among the preferred destinations for millions of visitors from around the world. H.E. further emphasised that, in recent years, the UAE has successfully developed advanced tourism infrastructure, established flexible legislations and enabled quality investments that have strengthened the sector’s competitiveness and attractiveness.

In details, both sides explored opportunities for cooperation in infrastructure development, and the linkage and integration of logistics services, along with the exchange of knowledge and best practices. The ministers underscored the importance of continued coordination between government entities and the private sector in both countries to unlock new investment prospects, facilitate business operations and future projects, and identify pathways for advancing joint initiatives and projects in support of expanding UAE-Montenegro partnership.
