The Ministry of Economy & Tourism launched the National Programme for Small and Medium Enterprises with the aim of enabling Emirati entrepreneurs and SME owners to establish and develop their businesses, providing the necessary expertise, technical, administrative and training support, and coordinating with federal and local government agencies as well as the private sector to provide benefits and incentives for businesses and support their products and services. It also aims to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs by launching supportive programs that aim to promote sustainable economic development in the UAE and accelerate its steps towards transitioning to a knowledge economy.
