| Defect Description | On affected vehicles, engine vibration could cause Timing Belt Tensioner Spring failure, resulting in loss of engine timing. Loss of engine timing may lead to engine shutdown / damage. The sudden deceleration caused by engine shutdown, may increase the risk of accident and/or injury. |
| Procedure | Customer should contact the dealer for an appointment to have the vehicle remedied as soon as practicable. Vehicle can be safely driven in the meanwhile. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software will be updated to the latest available version as soon as possible. |
