Ministry of Economy and Tourism to organise “National Forum for SMEs - Government Procurement 2026” on January 27-28 in Dubai
Forum to be held in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and with the participation of more than 90 federal and local entities and national companies
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, will organise the second edition of the National Forum for SMEs – Government Procurement 2026, to be held on 27 and 28 January in Dubai, with the participation of more than 90 federal and local entities and national companies, including the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology. The Forum will bring together senior officials and procurement directors and will host a number of Emirati entrepreneurs.
Held under the Ministry of Economy and Tourism’s National Programme for SMEs, the Forum aims to enhance the readiness of Emirati SMEs to compete for government procurement contracts and tenders issued by federal and local entities and national companies. It also seeks to strengthen their ability to secure such opportunities, supporting the growth of national entrepreneurship and reflecting the UAE’s position as a leading regional and global hub for business and startups.
The event will feature sessions addressing developments in the UAE’s government procurement ecosystem, enhancing spending efficiency, and expanding the participation of Emirati SMEs. It will also highlight digital transformation initiatives and the simplification of procedures related to participation in and access to government tenders. In addition, the Forum will provide a practical platform for constructive dialogue between government entities and SME owners.
The Forum will witness the announcement of new initiatives aimed at enabling SMEs to access government procurement opportunities, alongside specialised training programmes and workshops on government procurement, bid preparation, pricing, and contract conclusion. Outstanding entities, managers, and SMEs owners will also be recognised. The event will conclude with the announcement of key outcomes and recommendations aimed at strengthening the contribution of this vital sector to the national economy and supporting the development of a competitive, sustainable, knowledge-based, and innovation-driven economy.
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism invites Emirati SMEs wishing to attend and participate in the forum to register via: https://msurvey.government.ae/survey/Ministry_of_Economy_Tourism/iNo.
The SMEs sector represents a key pillar of the UAE’s business community, accounting for a significant share of companies operating across UAE markets. Thousands of enterprises and entrepreneurs benefit from training, technical support, and marketing programmes, reflecting the impact of national policies in empowering this vital sector and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy, with a focus on building a sustainable base of Emirati entrepreneurs and SMEs owners.
