H.E. Bin Touq meets with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister to strengthen cooperation in new economy, tourism, entrepreneurship and food industries

H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Dubai. The two sides discussed avenues for strengthening cooperation during the next phase across sectors of mutual interest, particularly the new economy, tourism, entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), food industries, agriculture and logistics.

During the meeting, H.E. Bin Touq emphasised that the UAE and India share strategic economic, political and cultural relations, guided by the vision and directives of both leaderships. These relations continue to grow, further reinforcing economic cooperation across several vital sectors in both markets.

H.E. Bin Touq said: “India is a key strategic economic partner of the UAE, and we look forward to continuing to work with our partners in the Indian government to strengthen cooperation across sectors and areas of mutual interest. These joint efforts will reinforce the outstanding economic partnership between the two countries and support the growth and sustainability of both economies.”

H.E. highlighted that Madhya Pradesh has a diversified economy underpinned by several vital sectors, particularly food industries, tourism, agriculture and logistics, presenting promising opportunities for UAE companies to invest and expand in these sectors and leverage the state’s growth potential.

The meeting also discussed a range of flexible economic policies and legislation in both countries aimed at enhancing dialogue at the private sector level and encouraging the development of new projects across various economic fields. Furthermore, H.E. Bin Touq invited Indian investors and businesspeople to take advantage of the investment enablers offered by the UAE, particularly in new economy sectors and logistics, as well as the competitive advantages available for establishing diverse economic activities. The two countries also share strong relations in the civil aviation sector, with air traffic between UAE and Indian cities continuing to grow, reaching 1,202 flights per week.
