Ministry of Economy and Tourism signs five MoUs with Ajman Transport Authority, Fujairah Municipality, Emirates Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank

Agreements will contribute to developing the ‘Growth’ platform, eliminating government bureaucracy, and providing a reliable and comprehensive economic database for the business sector

The Ministry of Economy and Tourism signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Ajman Transport Authority, Fujairah Municipality, Emirates Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), and Emirates NBD. The agreements aim to enhance the digital integration of the National Economic Registry - 'Growth' platform and expand its network of partners through data exchange and electronic linkage. The signing took place on the sidelines of the Ministry’s participation in GITEX Global 2025, held from October 13 to 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

On behalf of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the MoUs were signed by H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry; and H.E Abdulaziz Al-Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Entrepreneurship and the Economic Affairs Regulatory Sector. The partner entities were represented by H.E. Omar Mohammed Lotaah, Director General of the Ajman Transport Authority; H.E. Eng. Mohamed Saif Al Afkham, Director General of Fujairah Municipality; Mohamed Al Hadi, Head of Retail Banking & Wealth Management at Emirates Islamic; Mohamed Al Fahim, Acting Global Head of Wholesale Banking at ADIB; and Marwan Mahmoud Hadi, Head of Retail Banking & Wealth Management at Emirates NBD.

The agreements contribute to the development of the digital infrastructure of the National Economic Registry – ‘Growth’ platform and promote the exchange of information on businesses and economic licenses across the UAE through electronic linkage. They also enhance the platform’s capabilities to receive and process data efficiently, improve its reliability, facilitate the provision of accurate and up-to-date information on economic licenses, and provide comprehensive analytical reports on economic activities and their progress. This, in turn, supports strategic and operational planning, informs decision-making, and contributes to national objectives by ensuring the availability of reliable data to decision-makers across the country.

The signing of the MoUs underscores the Ministry of Economy and Tourism’s continued commitment to advancing the ‘Growth’ platform and fostering collaboration with federal and local authorities, as well as the private sector. The initiative aims to provide a reliable and comprehensive economic database for the business community, including decision-makers, business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, research centers, think tanks, and media outlets, supporting the UAE’s vision of transitioning to a digital economy and reducing government bureaucracy. This aligns with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, which seeks to position the UAE as a leading and distinctive nation and deliver world-class government services by the next decade.

The areas of cooperation outlined in the MoUs include providing technical and IT support through joint coordination, exchanging expertise and best practices in relevant fields, enhancing the country’s global competitiveness, delivering proactive services, and further strengthening compliance with established methodologies and standards across all seven emirates.

The ‘Growth’ platform enables users to search for information related to business licenses registered in the country from among more than 2,000 economic activities across all seven emirates. It allows users to view the investment opportunities available in various economic sectors in the country and includes the national identity of the unified economic number (ERN).
